Netherlands
These are the titles for breeds that do not need a working test, such as the Cairn Terrier. Breeds with a working test have other titles.
Junior
Nederlands Jeugdkampioen (NL Jeugd Ch.)
What it takes
-
Three firsts with Uitmuntend in Junior class, under two judges
- 1st Uitmuntend in Junior class: at least 3
- Different judges: at least 2
Also needed: not proven by show results
- The title must be applied for. On registration the dog is granted one CAC.
Good to know
- Counted at Dutch CAC/CACIB shows and club matches.
Adult
Nederlands Kampioen (NL Ch.)
Certificates counted: CAC, Res. CAC
What it takes
-
Four championship points under two judges, at 27 months
- Championship points: at least 4
- Different judges: at least 2
- Aged 27 months when the last point was won
Good to know
- Awarded automatically — there is nothing to apply for.
- Points are weighted: a CAC at a Winner show or a club championship match is worth two, but that doubling may be used only once for the same dog (art. IV.44 lid 5).
- A reserve at either of those two shows is worth one whole point (lid 6); four or more reserves won anywhere else are worth one point between them, whenever they were won (lid 7).
- The junior and veteran titles each count as one point towards this one (lid 8, lid 9).
Veteran
Nederlands Veteranenkampioen (NL Vet. Ch.)
What it takes
-
Three firsts with Uitmuntend in Veteran class, under two judges
- 1st Uitmuntend in Veteran class: at least 3
- Different judges: at least 2
Also needed: not proven by show results
- The title must be applied for. On registration the dog is granted one CAC.
Good to know
- There is no Veteran CAC in the Netherlands, so this is counted from grades.
