- The Cairn Terrier is not among the breeds carrying registration requirements.
- NKK's 2019 rule requiring both parents to have a patella status in DogWeb is breed-specific, not general: the list names Jack Russell Terrier and Yorkshire Terrier for patella and Tibetan Terrier for an offspring cap. Secondary sources describing it as applying broadly across terriers are wrong for this breed.
