- Not established. hrfi.is/pages/reglur-um-raektun is titled "Reglur um raektun" but carries award criteria rather than the breeding rules, and points to a section that was not located.
- Trap: hundavefur.is runs the same hundeweb platform as hundeweb.dk, and the Icelandic host with the Danish breed-data path returns the DANISH requirements verbatim, including "Racenummer DKK". That is the Danish requirement, not the Icelandic one.
- The terrier division at terrier.is (Terrierdeild HRFI) does cover the Cairn Terrier among roughly 15 breeds, but publishes shows and rankings only - no breeding or health requirements.

Show resultsClub information, health-examination booking and show catalogues are visible to anyone; the club states that the database itself is open only to active members, so the pedigree side could not be inspected. Do not follow the club's Sámur link expecting a database — it is the member magazine.
Requirements are shown in the language they were published in. Translating a regulation risks changing it. This reports what clubs published, with the date each source was read. It is not approval to breed — confirm with the club before you rely on it. (Checked: 8 August 2026)
