Dogs registered elsewhere
- No patella examination is demanded of a foreign stud: "Von ausländischen Deckrüden wird keine Untersuchung auf PL gefordert."
- Where HD applies to a breed, a stud standing abroad must show a result assessed to the FCI scheme; results from FCI-associated countries such as Great Britain and the USA are converted by the official mapping.

- The KfT Cairn Terrier section requires neither a hip score nor an eye examination. Both are widely but wrongly said to be compulsory here.
- Testing for CMO can close a pairing that not testing leaves open. That is a real consequence of choosing to test, and breeders should hear it before booking.
- One clause exempts MTC-positive Cairn Terriers from "this rule" without a clear antecedent. Not interpreted here. Ask KfT.

Official registers run by national kennel clubs. Every link here was opened and confirmed.
No official database was found for this country. What was searched is recorded with the requirements.
Requirements are shown in the language they were published in. Translating a regulation risks changing it. This reports what clubs published, with the date each source was read. It is not approval to breed — confirm with the club before you rely on it. (Checked: 8 August 2026)
