- BNFC is an FCI contract partner (not full member) since 2022. No breed-specific health requirements are published for any breed — only generic breeding certificate templates.
- Do not look for the older body: the Bulgarian Republican Federation of Cynology ended its FCI membership on 1 January 2022, and brfk.bg now redirects to bnfc.bg. The FCI's own statistics page lists the Bulgarian National Federation of Cynology as the current member. Anything citing BRFC as the authority is out of date.
